Einer der wichtigsten Vorteile der Verwendung von Scandiumhydroxid in der Aluminiumindustrie ist seine F\u00e4higkeit, die Korngr\u00f6\u00dfe der Aluminiumlegierung zu verringern. Diese Verringerung f\u00fchrt zu einer erh\u00f6hten Festigkeit und verbesserten Verarbeitbarkeit des Aluminiums. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wird Scandiumoxid (Sc2O3), das aus Scandiumhydroxid gewonnen wird, bei der Herstellung von Hochleistungs-LED-Beleuchtung verwendet.
