Es kann auch verwendet werden, um die Keimung von Gem\u00fcsesamen zu verbessern. Scandiumpulver wird in einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen eingesetzt. Es hat ein Atomgewicht von 44.956 und eine Ordnungszahl von 21. Es ist das einundzwanzigste Element des Periodensystems und das erste Element der \u00dcbergangsgruppe in der ersten langen Periode; es hat die Isotope 40 Sc und 51 Sc sowie ein Zwischenwertisotop,
